In a unexpected crossover event that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Disclosed

According to the official statement, "A mysterious confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of banned practices and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret cult.

The questline focuses on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses

The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Additional Content

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an exclusive katana together with several objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
